Below the recipes will be the actual ad. The sandwiches below are in order as they appear (top-bottom) in the ad.
This blog will be about recipes of yesteryear- found in ads & vintage cookbooks. My Moma & I have a vast collection of soft back & hard back cookbooks and pamphlets containing recipes. There will also be those hand wrote on index, or recipe, cards in addition to clippings from various media. Regarding cookbooks- I will not completely transcribe a whole one, but will attempt to transcribe, or scan, a handful or so of recipes from each one. For a larger image, just click on pic.

Souper Sandwiches
This advertisement, like the others I will be posting, go back as far the 1940's and up into the 1970's. I can't place a date on all of them; however, a few have a penciled in date. I spent the last few days scanning ads, that's why I have posted so much lately. Enjoy!
