Recipe Recollections

This blog will be about recipes of yesteryear- found in ads & vintage cookbooks. My Moma & I have a vast collection of soft back & hard back cookbooks and pamphlets containing recipes. There will also be those hand wrote on index, or recipe, cards in addition to clippings from various media. Regarding cookbooks- I will not completely transcribe a whole one, but will attempt to transcribe, or scan, a handful or so of recipes from each one. For a larger image, just click on pic.

If You Have No Chance For Snow For Christmas....

If I was still able to bake like I used to, I would definitely make Roly-Poly, the Coconut Snowman Cake. What a beautiful centerpiece on a Christmas buffet table, or even dinner table.

Below is a recipe for a Snowflake Pie!
